There used to be a time when u call a person as idiot when you are in fight with him (or her )..... It has always been a word of disguise, said when you want to make a person feel that he (i'd refer here only as he cuz i don't any female activitist raising questions on me :P ) is having vacuum filled in his mind and has got no brains, and is directly referred as a perfect goof. You could expect someone coming behind you getting mad if you're using this word at him.
Only until recently this word has also got lucky and is no more considered as a bad word. Really.... believe me, Idiot is no more a word of bad character, and all thanks to the cast and crew of the recent movie "3 idiots" who has shifted this word from the family of abuses to the company of "cool words". Obviously after the movie where the top actors are portraying themselves as idiots, being an idiot has become a cool thing. As i keep seeing things around me, people are now dying to act idiot, making idiotic comments, wearing idiotic dresses.
Its not just the movie who has made changes in the air, the plot of movie right from the time when is was in the form Chetan Bhagat's "5 point someone" has stirred the mind frame of people from long time. I really owe Chetan Bhagat a lot for writing that novel because, it was just him and his book who really kept my spirits high even getting a 5 SGPA in my second semester. He induced a feeling against all intellectual dilemma that 5 pointers are waste of space, they can still do something and get back with a bang and really bang the other 9 pointers at some point of life. It made a perception that getting bad grades is a cool thing and you are not doing any sin by not studying. and that was a huge support for me as well as millions of engineering as well as other students who don't believe in studying. atleast it gave a sense of relaxation and that was a big thing.
